'Fury UK are very happy to announce they've been chosen as guests on 33 dates of Iced Earth's World Tour.
These shows, covering 18 different countries, begin in Germany on 30th October & continue through to 11th December, with a final date back in Germany. The full band line-up is Iced Earth / White Wizzard / Fury UK.
This is a landmark tour for Fury UK, a natural progression from having already toured the UK with Saxon this year, following earlier UK tours with Y&T (2010), Michael Schenker Group (2009) & Blaze Bayley (2009). The band has played Belgium, Switzerland, Greece, Holland & France previously but this new opportunity is relished as it not only returns to those countries but involves so many new places.
The tour also includes a very welcome return to 3 UK venues.... London O2 Islington Academy, Bristol O2 Academy & Birmingham O2 Academy, on November 4th, 5th & 6th respectively.
Says Fury UK frontman Chris Appleton.. "This is a brilliant chance for us to get much further into Europe than we ever have before. Although we'll be going back to venues like Z7 in Switzerland where we've had fantastic gigs, there's lots more countries for us to go to & we're hitting many of them with this tour".
Fury UK released their 3rd album "A Way Of Life" in September 2010 & have since gigged relentlessly, building on their reputation as one of the hardest working live acts around, until taking a break during the past couple of months in anticipation of this tour with Iced Earth. The album was greeted with critical praise.. "One of the most exciting British metal albums of recent times" Dom Lawson, Classic Rock & the band's increasing popularity in the live arena has also been recognised, not least when they were just recently one of the first 5 bands confirmed for Hammerfest IV, in North Wales, March 2012, alongside Anthrax, Paradise Lost, Chimaira & Lawnmower Deth. This will be Fury UK's second appearance at Hammerfest; their first in 2010 encouraged these review comments from Metal Hammer.. "it's always good to discover a new favourite band at festivals & Fury UK seem destined to fit that bill for plenty of people. Their stirring old-school metal sidesteps retro cliché & goes for the jugular with lashings of blistering lead work & planet-sized tunes".
Early in 2012 Fury UK will begin work on their 4th album for which some writing has already begun. A release around May/June is provisionally expected.
American heavy-metal band WHITE WIZZARD — with riffs, attitude, and swagger to burn — will tear it up after FURY UK leaves the stage. WHITE WIZZARD has released two EPs and an album titled "Over The Top". A new album, "Flying Tigers", is due later this month.
"I'm really looking forward to touring with these guys," said ICED EARTH mainman Jon Schaffer. "Both bands bring a lot of energy to the table. I know fans will enjoy seeing them as much as we will."

Iced Earth will play 36 dates in-all on this European leg of their World Tour. These shows will be the United States metal band's first with new vocalist Stu Block who takes over from Matt Barlow who retires, having closed his tenure with the band with a fitting finale of summer festival appearances. Iced Earth release new album "Dystopia" on Century Media on October 17th in Europe & on October 28th in the U.S.
Taking the middle slot on this tour is White Wizzard, also from the U.S.
