The Bon Jovi experience, tribute to Bon Jovi played at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth Last week, Thursday the 13th October. I arrived around 8pm and as usual walked straight outside to have a look at the surroundings to discover the beautiful gardens outside with spot lights in every corner and a band stand resting in the middle of the grass. The seating area, by the bar was dimly lit and drinks reasonably priced. The whole experience so far was looking quite pleasant and laid back.
I have never seen the real Bon Jovi live before, so this was new for me and I was quite excited for the show. I strolled into the venue and got my stamp, as I was put on the guest list for knowing the sound man. The lady in the box office and the security were very kind and welcoming. I was given a proper ticket too for keep sake!
Bon Jovi Experience played two sets with a twenty minute break in between to give us time to stock up on alcohol. From the first song they played, I was completely in awe and filled with excitement, swaying with the music like the rest of the audience that seemed to really enjoy it. The band put on a voluptuous performance, and every member played their part extremely well and note perfect. The clone Jon Bon Jovi singer, Tony, looked and seemed like the real thing. Full of energy, character and nailed every movement and performance of the Bon Jovi. Grabbed the audience's attention and had great interaction with the crowd to get them going.
The lead guitarist Edd in the place of (Richie Sambora) even looked like the real Richie himself stood on stage. Edd, a very talented guitarist played every note and backup vocal with meaning and prefect sound. I was banging my head and stomping my foot with every kick of the drums played by Tico. And as for Steve (Hugh) on the bass, I felt every vibration run through my body and buzz under my feet. The keyboard player at the back added a lovely sound and level to the performance. The sound was great and lighting was brilliant judging from the pictures and video recordings I made of that night. The songs they played that made my night had to be: Bed of roses, Always, Living on a prayer and many more!
It was an enjoyable night, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one that enjoyed it as the audience would stomp their feet as soon as the band finished playing and walked off stage, and encoring the tribute band three times. My excitment filled night didn't end there, It was followed by drinks with the Bon Jovi Tribute lads at a bar Called Five Degrees below. They are a nice bunch of guys, and wish them all the best on their travels. I truly recommend anyone who are Bon Jovi or even fans of live rock music to see this band, and have a real Bon Jovi Experience.
