Donkerkarnuffel recently celebrated the release of their newly finished album 'Zombie Clown Apocalypse' by hosting their digital album launch party at Nambucca in Holloway. Donkerkarnuffel headlined the show, and were supported by Trenchhead, Built Upon The Graves & Santorum. All excellent and unique in their own way, no one expected to hear what they heard when Donkerkarnuffel set the stage on fire.
With a dark twisted carnival theme running throughout the whole set, this band and their music are likey to make your hair stand on end, send shivers down your spine and give you goosebumps in places you didnt think possible. But more importantly, make you want to headbang your skull off, because of it's heavy brooding, evil and dark riffs and furious double pedal work, thumping bass and deathly vocals, and the unerving sound as a clown horn goes off. Donkerkarnuffel are nothing like what's out there at the moment. They have their own distinctive and unique style of music and an overwhelming stage presence that you don't come accross everyday. Definately one to add the the favourites.
