Interview with Rozey from Falling Red

Aine Brewer From The Metal Saloon conducted an Interview with Rozey from Falling Red.
Described as 'The Bad Boys Of British Rock N' Rol'. Carving out their own niche with a Punk fuelled Sleaze Rock sound & arena sized stage antics, Falling Red are a band that deliver everytime time they step on a stage.

Falling Red signed to Rocksector Records & released their debut album Shake The Faith on March 1st 2010. They followed up the critically accliamed album with the EP Hasta La Victoria Siempre! on April 4th 2011.

"British Rockers who are conquering the Planet one town at a time" Classic Rock Magazine

Interview with Rozey
1. You guys have been around for six years now, how and where did the band first kick off?
We formed so long ago now it's tricky to recall how exactly it all happened. Basically Rozey & original guitarist Shane Kirk got together to create a band that would one day replace the likes of GnRs, Metallica etc in the Stadiums. The journey is long but our destination remains the same.
2. In what way do you feel you have excelled in those six years and what have you accomplished?
We created a band that I believe will go down in history. Even if we never hit the Rock N Roll hall of fame, I'd say we've made some kind of impact on the British Rock scene. We made a stand for what we believe in & not what magazines like Kerrang! dictate is the new cool. We're cool as fuck & we're real. We've excelled in being dangerous. No one knows what the hell we're going to say or do next. We don't suffer fools & we like a good drink or ten. Like I said, we're not ripping off Motley Crue's Shout At The Devil era look, or trying to sound just like GnRs or Led Zeppelin or whatever the fuck so many lazy ass bands & their corporate marketing team decide. We are Falling Red. Four guys that Rock like fuck & probably lean heavily towards the seedy side of the industry.
3. You have toured the length and breadth of the UK, where would you say you have the strongest fan base?
The Brickyard, Carlisle is to us what The Whisky a go go is to Motley Crue. But Manchester & Newcastle are often like hometown shows to us as well. Our fanbase is getting stronger in several big cities in the UK & that's down to our relentless touring. We're proper old school!
4. You have a tour coming up with the Californian Punk/Rock band, Bullets and Octane, which has been postponed til october, what other bands have you toured with so far? (And what was the most enjoyable/memorable tour and why?)

The couple of dates we did with Sebastian Bach were amazing. Memorable in many ways. Our favourite tour has to have been the 10 days we partied across the UK with Dirty Penny. First four days of that were a blur. We had a pre tour drink in Soho & the rest shall we say is history.
5. What plans have you got for the future? Where do you see yourself in five years?
We make few plans other than to keep getting out there & gigging. Hopefully the shows will get bigger - which they have been - & we make more fans. In five years we'll headline Download & flick the finger to a certain promoter!
7. Is there anything you are working on at the moment? Any other news you would like to share?
We've had a major huge producer get in touch from America wanting to work with us. That would be pretty cool if it happens. Other than that we hit Hammerfest 4 on 16th March & also headline Manchester Academy 3 & London Underworld later in the month. Looking forward to makin' a big mess those nights.
